    Unhappy

How sad about the 26-year-old Trakehner mare going to the auction. I hope she finds a nice home.

Tamara -- thank you SO MUCH for letting me know about this. I hadn't heard anything since he was born.

Puppy Love is indeed by my stallion. I would really like to be able to purchase him. Is there anyone in the area that could act as my agent on this? I would gladly pay fuel/board/etc until he could be transported to my farm. I'm too far away to do any of this in person.

Some of the horses must have some serious medical problems. Animal conrol says they have been feeding and taking care of the horses since May, and yet several of them still have prominent ribs. If they couldn't gain weight while be properly fed for 5 months, must be something else going on with them.

I would start a new thread if you're serious about this- there are a lot of COTHers in that area, and I'm sure someone would be interested in helping out such a good effort, but not everyone will open this thread. Thank you for being a responsible breeder!!
    Here today, gone tomorrow...

That little gelding is a doll! I'm posting the link again (directly to the horses) so that either his breeder or someone can save him.

Thank you FrenchFry, I've gone ahead and done that. Hopefully there will be someone who is able to help. I just feel SICK that one of "my" babies is in that situation. Ugh.

I just had a phone call from a very nice lady who purchased a horse from Lisa a week before the siezure. She said that many of the horses are VERY VERY well bred, by famous Warmblood stallions. She said that she thought that a number of them were by stallions at Rainbow Equus.

I hope that they can find loving homes. Some of those youngsters are going to be beautiful once they are fed up a bit more.

They were not stolen. I have a friend very involved in this seizure and have seen the before pictures! These are definitely the after pictures.

I hope all the horses find homes. I wish I had money for a third mouth!

I hope the stallions are required to be gelded or are gelded for the highest bidder.

when are people going to learn, horses need to be fed. good grain, quality hay, not just live on grass. if these horses were stolen by AC, thank god, for they might be dead by now!

I did get him! I am SO, SO relieved!!!

A friend went and bid on him for me, and then another friend went and picked him up and took him to her farm where we are waiting for pick up by my hauler on Saturday. I'm VERY eager to get him home, though I know he is in great hands right now. I ordered him a new turnout blanket this morning, since I'm sure he's not used to the colder weather we have here in the northwest.

Here's a picture she very kindly sent me this morning. I am lucky to have great friends in the pony world!
