I just picked up what appears to be an older, wool-flocked Pessoa from the tack store last night. It's got the "Paris" nailheads and:
Written on the billet guard. It was labeled an A/O, 17". The leather is excellent, especially compared to the plastic leather I've seen on some of the more recent Pessoas.
Any idea when this was made?
The wool flocking seems less than 100% smooth in some places, but I imagine it could be reflocked fairly easily, am I correct?
On another note, last night Mr. Trixie demanded to know why they couldn't just make a model of my butt and the horse's back and build one. When I told him what a custom saddle costs, he now is slowly starting to get why I'm shopping around prior to going that route...
