not where I want to be

    Default CANTER Charlestown OTTB

Well, I'm interested in looking at an OTTB mare at Charlestown. I still need to call the trainer to make sure she's available but what is the best way for me to see if there is anyone that can take a look at her before I make a trip down. Are there some volunteers or reg. folks that do that for those that are out of town?
    Feel free to PM me.
Thanks in advance for the help

    Default Cash and Carry

The best way to shop at the track is cash and carry. If it's a nice horse, it will move quick and you don't have time for anyone to go look. Get some cash, hook up your horse trailer, make the drive. If you like the horse, buy it and expect to take it home that day. If it's a week day and during business hours you can possibly have the track vets do a quick vet check. Otherwise check eyes, job up for soundness, if the trainer lets you do flexion tests and listen to the heart/lungs. Good luck

I know that's the most obvious thing to do, but it's a min. 6hr.+ drive...ugh
