Smile 2 year old appy pony rescue SW VA

Moby is a gorgeous, colorful rescue appy colt, 2 years old. When we got him, he was a 1 on the body scale and our vet was unsure if he would surivive the recovery. Well, he not only survived, he has turned into quite the handsome young man. He wasn't even halter broke when he came, he now has excellent manners, loads, stands to be fly sprayed, etc. Very, Very smart boy. Due to being starved, it appears that his growth has been stunted, and I do not expect him to pass 14hh. We had put adopting him out on hold, as he had not dropped both his testicles, but on the most recent visit, the vet found them both!! SO he has an appointment the 11th, and will be available shortly after. References required, and will be checked. I am OK with him going to a trainer as a resale project, but priority will go to a good permanant home. Expect me to check up on him, not contstantly, but I would love to be kept updated on his progress, and in event of resale, on his new owner's contact info. No vices, no issues, no health problems AT ALL since we have had him. I do want to stress that this boy is in no danger at all, and can stay as long as he needs to, but finding him a good home enables me to rescue another. Besides the fact that I am too big to break him, and I would love to see someone getting him going!

Great job bringing him back. The poor little guy looks like it was a long road for him.

    Hey Fleck,
Thanks so much! He got a great home with a horse family and 2 horse crazy kids to fawn all over him He is going to learn how to drive first, and then be the best little hunter/barrel pony ever, lol.
