Default Good farriers in Western New York area?

I'm looking for some good farrier recommendations in the Western New York (Buffalo/Niagara) area. I'm not satisfied with how my current farrier is trimming my mare, and am looking for someone that has experience with and can successfully treat her flared hooves.

If anyone has any ideas (or names of people to stay away from!) I'd REALLY appreciate it. Feel free to PM me if you don't want to post names/numbers here. Thank you very much!

Ah the age old question... good farriers in WNY.... lol.

Josh Hornquist and Terry Jolls are the two recommended by Cornell.

Terry is top notch and thus he can be really hard to book! Josh is young but has a lot of good things going for him.

There are a few local farriers I would absolutely stay away from but that is just me.

Feel free to PM if you want more info.
We couldn't all be cowboys, so some of us are clowns.

Second Terry Jolls, but unlikely he'll come for one horse, always worth a shot though. He can probably recommend someone if he's not able to do your horse.

    Default Farrier available in WNY.

Try Mike Cooper .. he is a certifide farrier from Oklahoma and is very good at correction of flare etc. His number is 607-382-2807. Pretty sure you wont be disappointed.
