Where there are only carousel horses to be had...

Default Working abroad: Working Student or Horse vacation destination?

Does anyone have experience as a WS or specifically working/interning at a riding vacation destination like the trips to Ireland where you take riding lessons? I am interested in hospitality and I have working student/groom/catch riding experience. I have experience in H/J and eventing.

You'd have to contact the various riding establishments overseas. Of note the economy in many European countries, Ireland for one, is worse than in the US so you would need to be prepared to be paid very little (however, the Euro is stronger than the dollar) and you might do more mucking and cleaning than being rider/groom.. living accommodations might also be very basic -
