... and just when I said I wouldnt go and do that again ... http://chronicleforums.com/groupee_c...n_rolleyes.gif

I LOVE this mare! http://chronicleforums.com/images/cu...milies/yes.gif

She has the stockings in behind that go up the face of her gaskin, the white leg in front, a totally bald face with an ice blue eye on her right side and a brown one on her left side.
She is by a very well known sabino TB stallion named Blueyemoment that had two ice blue eyes, and to add to that - her grandsire is Indian Hemp - the same sabino lines that you find in See Me Come En's pedigree - another lovely sabino TB stallion!

She will be getting on the trailer in ... oh ... about 30 minutes now and should be here by Tuesday or Wednesday.

Here is the link to her on line videos - there are 2 of her - the ones that say "Mattie"

I just LOVE the way this mare moves and jumps - she is so neat and makes it looks so easy as well!

And Ive posted one picture of her here

and her other side (the less colorful one)

Nikita has a picture of this lovely palomino & white sabino Welsh pony (it honestly looks like Sato in mini version! http://chronicleforums.com/groupee_c...on_biggrin.gif ) and he has the ice blue eyes as well. I hope that she sees this and posts the picture of him.

I am ***hoping*** that this cross with Sato will produce the coolest looking palomino & white foal with ice blue eyes. Now THAT would be SO neat!

Wow Spot, you have a way of finding them, don't you? http://chronicleforums.com/groupee_c...on_biggrin.gif

She doesn't have the hunter type movement that I like, but she sure is an eye catcher. What are your plans for her?

Oh, BTW, I never heard anything for the individual that had the paint mare for sale. Not sure if she had already sold her. But, after two emails and no response, I'm going to pass on her.

Ah Jasper. I missed buying him by about 1/2 an hour. http://chronicleforums.com/groupee_c...icon_frown.gif I'm still beyond ticked at myself for even hesitating one minute. http://chronicleforums.com/groupee_c...n_rolleyes.gif Hopefully he has a nice home.

That would be so neat if you got a blue eyed blond kid with some nice white splotches here and there! http://chronicleforums.com/images/cu...milies/yes.gif

Very nice! What makes eyes blue v. brown? Is it unusual to have one blue and one brown eye?

I am learning about all this colored horse stuff. http://chronicleforums.com/groupee_c...icon_smile.gif

hunt jump - I LOVE the movement on that filly! How awesome ... and me too - I LOVE the blue eyes. They are just so neat and so different.

I remember when GGold brought her Blue Eyed Angel mare to us to breed to Spot Pocket many years ago. She had the big apron face (more white than a bald face!) and 2 ice blue eyes.
My mares all took one look at her and ran away snorting, and then all stood in a row - on guard - snorting and watching her. She was here for long enough for breeding that we integrated her into the herd, but I had to keep a fly mask on her because of the sun (otherwise she'd burn and peel horribly) but also because it was the only way the others would allow her near the hay or the water. With a fly mask on, she looked just like one of them ...

You wonder what they think or see when they look at them.

Its a sabino trait, LH, and is an indicator of color production abilities.

GGold has a lovely chestnut TB stallion named Albadou, and he has one navy blue eye and one ice blue eye (picture enclosed).
He's unusual in that his ice blue eye is on a chestnut background. Usually these blue eyes occur as part of a bald face - thats where you see them most often.

Yes - it is unusual to have one brown and one blue eye. Not so much in Paints or Clyde's, but VERY unusual in TB's since they dont traditionally have that sabino gene pool to pull from over the years.

and a picture of Blue Eyed Angel, the lovely TB mare that GGold owned that died as a result of foaling complications when delivering a gorgeous Spot Pocket filly (with 2 blue eyes and an apron face as well)

This mare was SO unusual in the TB breed, with her apron face and 2 blue eyes. You simply do not see anything like her in a TB. She looked like she had black eyeliner around her eyes - she was the neatest looking mare in the whole wide world!

I think she was the most gorgeous mare I had seen in a long long time and what a horrible shame to have lost her.

Action shot.
Maybe some of you color breeders out there could help me figure out where to market this colt.

He's cute, Hidden Hill! I love his black rimmed blue eyes. Is he by Kodachrome? I think the color trend may be dying down a bit and that there is not as much interest as there was. I have not had much interest in my pinto colt, but he is very unusual looking.
Some people do not like his blue/brown marbled eyes. Underneath the color he is very nice.
