I always think of the "Dressage SuperPrix" spoof when I see it...

FWIW, the boots are much nicer in person...

Agreed. creepy. It looks like the leg of some robot/human hybrid gone wrong. And the ballet part is just ultra weird. But, this is Veredus. Their new talls boot ads in Dover consist of someone sitting around in white breeches with a violin which confuses the heck out of me.

Yes. Totally twisted. I'm still not sure I "get" it.

Are they the same makers of the boots that look like they belong in some futuristic movie?

I'm also not going to lie. I thought it was an odd add for a prosthetic company until I realized that it look like a jump boot....

Yeah, I had the same issue. Certainly does not make me want to run out and buy their product...just back away slowly from their ad execs who approved it.

That's an ad for a horse boot? I thought it was someone with a broken leg and an ankle that was nonexistent.

Well-we all looked at the ad again, and here we go talking about it-so...maybe not a bad spot. I'm not in the market for a high tech boot, but if I were I think I would have looked with more attention, since you all made me!!

WTF is that??!! Seriously, I've never heard of the company before, this is my "virgin" experience and I am forever repulsed. That's some jacked up sh!t! I do not know what their advertising agency is smoking, but they need to knock it off and go to a few meetings - seriously...that's the kind of thing nightmares are made of.

I love ballet and I love horses, but that is the most ridiculous combination of the two I've ever seen. Seriously messed up.

I really dislike that ad as well. What bothers me is the way the boot sits on the calf- I think the bulge makes the leg almost look broken or something.

And how much do you want to bet that they came up with that idea because someone's little kid went running around the horse with horse boots on their legs just being silly and the parent thought to themselves "ooo that's a brilliant idea for an ad...."

Guarneri (name of boots) was an Italian violin maker around the same time (and quality) of Stradivari.
"And now . . .off to violin-land, where all is sweetness and delicacy and harmony and there are no red-headed clients to vex us with their conundrums."

Also agreed... It took me a minute to figure out what the ad was actually for Definitely mis-leading.
