Anyone ever had a tree replaced on an Antares (or other similar saddle)? can I get an idea of the cost for a friend. Her horse fell into a concrete irrigation ditch and broke the tree in half. Horse is amazingly ok, except for a few scrapes.
I was quoted $1400 for tree and seat in July. It was a 2-3 month process. At that point, you are 1/2 way to a new one with the discount that Antares is offering.
This may be more accurate. I don't know where the invoice is, so I couldn't check. Mine was around Feb. 2009, and the reason I don't really recall the exact price was that I didn't have to pay it (was still under warranty and nothing had happened to the saddle that should cause a broken tree). If I remember correctly, they have to replace the seat and the billets when they replace the tree. I know for sure that they replaced my billets.
And the 2-3 months turns into 6+ months pretty quickly...just a heads up.
