Default Have you ever seen lumps like this?

I attempted to post this yesterday but must have encountered a pilot error. So here we go again...

I went to see a colt the other day. One concern I have are these two, virtually identical lumps he has in the stifle area of each hind leg. I'll give a run-down of the info in case it helps anyone to identify the issue.

    He's a 2 y/o QH.
Lumps are set slightly to the outside of the front of each leg. At least one (as far as I remember) does have what appears to be an old scratch on it.
They are medium density, not too squishy or too firm.
He's not sensitive and there is no heat.
Lastly, the owner stated he just bumps himself into things sometimes.

I've looked all over the internet and can't seem to find something similar. Please help!

Umm well that's interesting alright alright, my dacshund has the same bumps in the exact same place, although, he's a dog of course.
They formed right after he had a run in with a car. Not a serious run in obviously, it just grazed him, but he was injured some, and very sore.
Hope you get some better answers!

If it were an accident it looks like contact with a straight object, like a board that he hit straight on (the upper part of his body was out of the way).

I was told that he jumped out of the round pen once. I'd say the top board was 4'6" or 5' and he ended up breaking the top board when he jumped out. I suppose it could be from that? Unfortunately, the owner has health issues affecting her memory and it's difficult to get a straight answer.

I appreciate the help so far!
