Default AQHA Select (50 and over) World over/fences Webcast on now.

They are schooling for the fence classes now. They allow schooling because the warm up fences outside are minimal.

Eq/over, Hunters, Jumpers, then Hunter Hack
Fences are probably 2'6" to 2'9".

Thanks plumcreek. Those jumps look very doable up until a ripe old age! I am gonna get me a Quarter Horse. Something that moves like Hunt Coats Required.

Thanks wattie! The WH was a better class and Rodger won--Lori was 9th. She has two classes to go-Hunter Hack and Pleasure Driving. The selects are all sad that the show is almost done--they have a wonderful time there

This lady is what it's all about!

Sorry bad link and I can't fix it from my phone. But the interview on the Select Show/aqha website with the All Around winner that I was trying to link to, is a great read!

The 50+ Looks interesting! Only 9 horses and no audience - Is this an end of year finals, or a qualifier show for the finals? If it's an end of year final, how do people qualify in?

This is the very last day and most exhibitors have gone home, so only a few people sitting down below camera range. I was there the beginning of the week and the stands were full of spectators watching each other's classes (and shopping in the big booths you can see around the concourse).

The qualifying period for this show begins and ends on Memorial Day weekend each year. The fence classes are the lightest entry ones - trail had 66 and team sorting had maybe 100 teams?.

Here, Sparky, got it for you (worth a look at her distinctive shirt):

(I think this lady may have posted here on COTH. I kind of remember the horse name Knowtorious, and a mention of showing all-around, but thought it was a horse by Knowtorious Son, a jumper.)

Thanks Plum. She sounds like a neat lady and what she said epitomizes the spirit of that show.
P.s. Lori and Fonzie just won the pleasure driving for their third world championship. So proud of them!!

Susan is a great person- I'm so happy for her. She trains with Jason and Charlie, and her horse is double registered so she also shows him on the APHA circuit, he is a world champion there too I believe, as well as a Congress Champion.
