Question Anyone read a tug of war ....

Anyone else read a Tug of war: Classical Vs "Modern" Dressage
    by Gerd Heuschmann

I think it is amazing and very insightfull and really helps you to understand the realities of modern dressage and how Rolkur etc work and why they don't work.

    I highly recommend

    Is this a troll?

Gerd Heuschmann was the person that recently stepped down from Xenophon and was also recently criticized about his clinic methods.

I think it was well written, but it is important to note that he is presenting theory based on his understanding of anatomy.

I did not read any proof such as necropsies done of horses ridden in Rolkur, or solid studies comparing horses ridden this way vs. 'more acceptable' ways.

Do not make the mistake of reading it as fact when it is opinion.

I found it interesting and basically sound. Especially from the viewpoint of a Saddle Seat rider who would like to see more Saddle Seat horses with their heads less extreme and their toplines developed.

I had no idea it was so controversial. I have my popcorn and adult beverage at the ready. Let's have it........

I did not think that it was written very well, would have liked to have seen more concrete evidence to support his theories ended up selling my copy to half price books.

I kind of agree with Ginger. I was expecting much more in the way of facts, evidence, science. In short, I was disappointed.
