    Default Chicago-area lesson programs?

Can anyone recommend a barn in the western suburbs of Chicago that has a good lesson program? I'm an intermediate-level rider with a 3yo TB that (obviously) isn't ready to jump yet, but I want to "keep up" on my jumping. I'm no superstar, but I'm definitely above a beginner (showing in the 1.0m jumpers a couple years ago). I don't think I have the time or the $$ for a half-lease; I'm just looking for a once-a-week lesson situation.

I grew up in this area and spent years at Stanley Luke... my childhood memory tells me they had a GREAT lesson program. Do they still?

Mary Goldman at Red Coat.. I know she for sure has a lesson program.. and i've heard lots of good things about the crew at Country Ridge Stables (http://www.countryridgestables.com/). There was a thread on here not too long ago about the trainer at this barn.. http://www.springfieldstables.com/about-us.html. Those two barns I'm not sure if they are a strictly training barn or if they have school horses too..

    Good luck

Tina Judge at Judgement Farms in Oswego. Don't know her personally, but her clients have always done well and she's been in the Chicago horse industry for a long time.

    Also:

    Grove Place Farm (Maple Park)
    Bull Run Equestrian Center (Elburn)
AliBoo Farm (Minooka)--trainers are very young and focus on jumpers, but have had good results in the jumper ring
    McIntyre Stables (Batavia)
    Tukaway Farm (Elgin)

I highly recommend Mary Goldman at Red Coat Farm. She has a big school program. The other trainers there are also highly competent. Mary only teaches the boarders/show kids, but the barn is wonderful.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't Country Ridge the farm that was still offering clinics with Paul V?

Thanks for all the recommendations! I didn't know some of these barns had lesson programs.

OMG!! McIntyre Stables (Batavia) is the best and what a hoot. Tommy must be 120 yrs old by now. LOL!

He can make a camel jump all the while telling the best jokes.
