"The famous German carriage manufacturer Kühnle continues its activities after the bankruptcy of last April. Kühnle will continue manufacturing high quality dressage and marathon carriages for the international combined driving sport.
The large hall from Kühnle in Haiterbach is sold, but Kühnle can still use half of the hall including the machinery. The number of employees is also halved, but the Kühnle brothers Paul and Gustav are extremely happy to be able to continue their company: “We are very pleased that we can continue and we thank all our clients for their trust and confidence.”
Paul Kühnle will focus on the manufacturing and service of the carriages, while Gustav will focus on sales. Gustav’s wife Marion is running another Kühnle company with her son in Detmold, Germany. This company is offering maintenance, repairs and service to Kühnle customers. This company will also continue its activities."
I'm thinking they'll still be on the scene but will down size their operation and concentrate on what they do best: niche market that demands quality and seeks to buy on specification rather than value and price.
It's great that they're going back to their roots and continuing with high quality builds.
