    Default Another feed thread

My horse has been on a wonderful feed for the last 3 years..It is organic and we mix it with a rice bran pellet and he has done well BUT he is now retired in a field 24/7 and is not working so he doesn't need this stuff and the biggest problem is that the company is no longer producing it because of the lack of availability..So I am looking for suggestions..
I like the rice bran base, he gleems and holds his weight well but then I need a balancer of some kind..Does anyone know the Southern States products? I have heard good things about them. I also want a feed that has a fixed formula with low NSCs...
    Thanks in advance

Do you actually have a SS? If so, go with Triple Crown 30 as the ration balancer for the nutrition, and then use alf-pellets and/or beet pulp of you need additional calories. That's my suggestion TC also has a rice bran product which I THINK is pelleted.

I can very easily get Legend or Triple Crown locally.....I am actually switching from Equi-Jewel to Legends rice bran pellet just because it is so pricey! I do thing the Equi-Jewel is a better product though...
