Very cute. I agree, they've got to pay the hay bills somehow!
BTW, I had a Lippizaner mare who was the sweetest, most fun horse I've ever owned! Kind of limited in what she could do, but absolutely fun. I miss her so much. She was a "Siglavy."
I've never been to the SRS - would like to see it some day...
I have no problems with the SRS earning money any way they can. It's better than not having a SRS.
Plus it gives the general public exposure to the horses . Any positive "press" horses, and the SRS in particular, get is good.
We need that more here in the US. Commercials with dressage would help erase the perception that it is an elitist sport. Commercials with Western reining horses would help dispel myths about cowboys. Etc.
The more people feel horses provide value, the less trail riding and pasture land we will loose to development. The fewer barns will be hassled for manure smell and flys. The more kids will want to take lessons. Etc.
