Default What are some easy dressage exercise my horse and i could learn?

I really want to learn some very basic dressage exercises because I think it would be good for both my horse and I. I am not very knowledgeable about dressage currently so it does need to be pretty basic. My mare is an ottb so she has the problem of sticking her nose out pretty far so anything that help lower her head would be good. Thanks.

Please consider taking some lessons from a dressage trainer. Even if it's only one a month or so. He/she will give you exercises to work on inbetween. As the saying goes: "practice does not make perfect, perfect practices makes perfect'". In other words, you can do all the exercises in the world but if you are not doing them correctly it won't do much good. Read the books and watch the videos but get some good eyes on the ground.
