Research Study Survey: Teens 13-17 Wanted for Survey on Horses and Nature
Please take the time to consider asking your child age 13-17 that participates in any form of equine activities (riding or non-riding) to answer the survey in the link. I am conducting a research study. This has been approved by the university IRB at Northern IL University. More information is available if you fit the criteria and click on the link.
The results of this study will provide information about the relationships adolescents have with horses and the outdoor environment, as well as add to the information known about the impact of equine activities on youth.
The time required to complete the survey is approximately 15 minutes. Adult consent is required, so unless your parent/guardian said it was OK to complete the survey, please don't respond until they are informed.
This survey is anonymous. There is no personal information required (no name, email, or contact information is asked for). Questions ask about personal experiences about nature when time is spent around horses.
Thanks for your consideration!

I'll have DD do it as soon as she gets home from her working student position. I'll tell her to forward it to horsey friends too.

Marcella, can you say which university it is for and what your research project is? Just because these are questions aimed at minors and I am sure some of my parents will want to know what their kids are filling out.

Will have my son take a look at it this week.
Looks like there's complete information about the survey/university on the first page.

Bump, and thanks to everyone already sending it out.
It is at Northern IL University.
Yes, there is specific info on the survey page. It has been approved by the University IRB. I can provide a copy of that documentation if necessary. You just need to email me (email on survey page).
I appreciate any help getting the word out! All of the survey items were written by teenagers, so it is authentic. Adults might think, "Um. What the heck?" But part of the research is based on the theory that children view the world far differently than adults.

Bump.
This survey is anonymous. You do not have to provide anything other than your gender, age, type of activity, and your opinion!
