    Thumbs up Fostering Through Canter!

I'm going to be the proud foster mom of a Canter Tb this fall!
DH said good idea! Go ahead!
I'm thrilled to watch another TB blossom from race horse to regular horse and LOVE their attitudes and work ethic (nevermind the good karma from giving back to the universe!)
My pony will be busy with his lease rider, so that helps.

Any great success stories? Anything I should know about?
I'm dying to get involved with the organization, they are just wonderful...

(I've rehabbed OTTBs before, so this isnt my first ride on the carosel, but then I purchased and rehomed).

Awesome! It's absolutely the best feeling in the whole world to bring them along from the track to a new career. I do a lot of retraining for CANTER Mid Atlantic and seem to have a steady flow of CANTER horses coming into the barn either from the track or our layup farms. I enjoy the process and although it is hard to send them off to new homes there is nothing better than seeing them find their person. I write about the horses in our program in my blog (link below) and another volunteer writes on this blog-
