Unhappy Where to list the western saddle for the Sporthorse/Sport Rider?

So far Ebay hasn't even gotten a single bite, and I've listed 3x.

Without going into details that might get me in trouble, suffice to say that it's a western saddle that *I* bought specifically for it's fit on wide-back-with-withers sporthorse types, and it's set back stirrups and excellent balance.

Not fancy, not expensive. Sadly bothers my sciatica.

I don't want to send it for commission because it's huge and heavy and by the time you take commission & shipping, *I* get ripped off...

But Ebay isn't cutting it either...

Suggestions for places to list it where the Dressage/Eventer/"English" type rider would look?

Does it happen to be treeless? I know quite a few riders that like those saddles for the trail that usually ride in a jump or dressage saddle

Have you tried the endurance crowd? I have a couple of massage clients with some WIIIDE-backed Arabs. Many of them seem to like a Western saddle for more weight-bearing surface and places to tie "stuff" that might be needed during the ride.

craigslist? Fairly active at least in my neck of the woods, even for higher priced items. Also, the Bit and Barter board

Another vote for Craigslist. I had 3 buyers lined up for mine right after I posted it for sale there, and it was sold and picked up within 24 hours.

ETA: list it in the Farm and Garden section, and include a photo if you can.

    Mmm...

Might have to venture over to Craigslist. Not the most popular thing up here.

Haven't tried Endurance sites, because it does have a horn, and is an old fashioned, Wade type.

    Plenty o' photos.

I *loff* it, and in another economy, would just store it, as I now a decade from now I'll regret selling it.

But due to the early demise of the StarTrekk, I *have* to get a saddle for the young'uns. And I have to sell to buy.

Sometimes I *do* wish I had a credit card.

I *know* I'm better off for not... mostly.

Definitely Tack Trader and Craigslist. I've sold some on ebay but have had great luck with Tack Trader too.
