    Default lowest xc dressage score?

So we have a new boarder who is claiming to have gone advanced and gotten an 18 for a score in dressage at Altoona in 1995- is that even possible?!

Well I don't know how you'd verify from that far back but my old coach scored a 22 in advanced a long time ago w her first adv. horse. A couple years ago one of my friends got a 19 at a training level. Anythings possible I guess!

That would have been quite difficult in 1995 as that was with the old scoring system. Basically she would have had to have essentially all 10's with a couple 9's thrown in. Possible but probably not likely.

If you know which event it was you can look in the results archives on the USEA site. I'm pretty sure they go back that far.

I got a 20 once in Novice from Sally O'Conner. Never gotten close again . That same year I competed against a girl who often scored around 20 at Novice.

Right! I met someone who told me she "catch rode" at Rolex. I ask her the name of the horse (since I've been spectating since 1988), and she couldn't remember

Are you telling me I shouldn't belive that her horse was 18.2 hands, she rode at badmiton (sp?) in 1995, the 1996 olympics (she took Bruce Davidson's spot you know- wait he was there!), and one time she jumped a jump xc and got knocked out but stayed on and the horse jumped the next fence (with her still unconsious) and placed!? Damn it I was trying to get signed up for a lesson!

wait...this new boarder...she doesn't claim to be, like, an autistic genius or anything, and, ehr, overweight and has a pinto she really likes to jump...

is she claiming that she got the 18 when she went advanced?

It is possible to get a dressage score that low but not likely at advanced

Wait, wait, I know her, I had lunch with her a couple of years ago. She also coached the British Olympic team and is good friends with William
Fox-Pitt and a cast of thousands. Unfortunately I was taking lessons with one of her really really big name trainer friends and they had never heard of her. How can that be? She said she knew them????

A total wack job and she's teaching, no one checks on her

I've had a 22. (With my trainer's horse- he is fantastic at dressage.)

I forget when they changed it, but at one point the formula was something like "subtract the good points from the total points and multiply by .6" . So it wasn't just "100 minus the percentage".

I'll check one of my old rule books to see.
