    Default Hernias-how serious are they??

I never knew horses could develop hernias.
Is this a common problem and how are they treated??

It's pretty rare for a horse to "develop" a hernia. Most are born with it or have one due to abdominal surgery that didnt heal properly.

One that suddenly showed up on a horse would be a big concern and should be seen ASAP.
