And don't show pictures of your half dressed kids wandering around barefoot while your horses are looking very scraggely in a run-down backyard kind of place!! All the while you are going on and on about how your husband brings you samwiges (oh my how could we forget THAT one)!!
Ahhh...2 blasts from the crazy past! Good times.
Those were two different brands of nucking futs though.
Barefoot pants-less children with scraggly horses was Lisaxxxxxx whatever...the one who unwittingly started the whole WTF = Where's The Fruitbat?
    Sammiches was Alysheba.

Both now gone. But left funny as hell memories!

[staggers back onto thread, head spinning] Wow! Just skimmed through one of the aforementioned threads from 2005 about an Arabian jumper. The moderators are a bit more strict nowadays!!! That was just... bizarre!

Yesss. Those were the days. Back then when the catch words were..

And the very first COTH'er to be banned??? ---

The infamous COLIN!!! There should be a trophy named in her honor. She set a standard which will never be equaled.

Mainly because the Mods nowadays would never let her craziness continue for as long as she lasted back then.

i originally joined back in 99 or 2000 and enjoyed the COTH horse shows that were held via submitted still pictures from shows.

I remember a great many hilarious peeps who had great stories and quick wit.

Thems were the good old days.

I left for a couple years, and when I returned to coth in 2003, the grammar police and miss mannerses were running the show and much of the fun had been lost. Oh well, times change.

Aaah, memory lane. some of the old threads were hilarious showing latent COTH talent. Have to agree on the annoying teenagery text speak threads - click on, I say, click on. Or the "I said it, therefore it is" tribe.

In short, the #1 unwritten rule on CoTH is... Don't be an asshat.

LisaXXX or whatever she was! THAT'S who started "Where's The Fruitbat?"!!! I remember her well... she photoshopped her kids' bare feet pink, IIRC. And her horses put on weight when they were in work, too... And she wanted to know how much ace to give her spooky, inexperienced OTTB so she could "safely" ride him in a parade...

    A good rule is "WWLD--and DON'T!!"

They weren't just samwiches. They were BJ samwiches, which, really, make all the difference.

I'd amend that to: Try not to be an asshat, but if you must, be one in interesting and entertaining ways and all will be forgiven. Or at least tolerated.

Yep, Winged Panda was the one who came up with where's the fruitbat.

Alysheba was the one who stated she could always get time to play with her horses, as long as she gave her husband a sammitch and a BJ. BAD mental image that conjures up.
