Ok I admit this is only sort of horse related in that unicorns are horses with horns but here goes. The genius that is Think Geek came up with an awesome April Fool's product (as they do every year) but I guess some people REALLY believe in Unicorns...
I just hope PETA doesn't think it's real either uhoh...hehe
OH Please, Please, PLEASE, I sooooooooooo hope that PETA thinks it's real!!!!!!!!!!!!!! OMG!!!!!!! That would be so PERFECT!!! Let them spend oodles of that cash scammed from the general public (see Katrina, or Vick episodes, or all those dogs they euthanized in their vans) that's otherwise lining their pockets and pushing ridiculous legislation on fighting canned unicorn meat. With bits of candied uni-horn.
The National Pork Board obviously has too many lawyers on their staff...
The National Pork Board, who were clever enough to cybersquat on pork.org and await the lucrative porn site buyout, have found something to keep them occupied in the meantime: sending out ridiculous cease and desist letters. ThinkGeek debuted their Canned Unicorn Meat on April Fool’s with the slogan "Pâté is passé. Unicorn – the new white meat". Since some sites (not ThinkGeek) were linking to the page and calling it "the other white meat" instead of the new white meat, the NPB hired some very expensive lawyers and sent a 12 page cease and desist letter to ThinkGeek. Because this all makes sense. Damn it, ThinkGeek, stop letting completely unrelated sites on the internet use a slogan you didn’t use about a product that never actually existed. You’ve sure got some nerve. And your unicorn meat is too delicious...
Oh, this is better than the Taunton sleeping bag they offered a year or two ago!!
The description sounds so much like a certain breed of horse that must not be named... you think someone's been a'spyin' on COTH???
Ranks up there with the Genghis Khan's freeze-dried Mare's Milk!
I saw the unicorn in a can on reddit last night. Looking at some of the product's description I was laughing pretty hard that maybe they'd made a mistake on the label and it was another type of horse in a can too..
