We are beyond thrilled. Junior almost, but not quite, cried! His resume had been lacking a win at one of the "majors," and now he's got one. The horse is lovely (wish he was in our barn!) and the judge, Ray Francis, loved him from the start. He moves as beautifully as he looks. Ray said he reminded him a lot of a winner from years ago, The Wizard. Coincidentally, Westridge's owner also owned The Wizard (bought from Cismont Manor)! What a great day!
No picture link?? I always wanna see other Teddy babies.
My now 3yo was too awkward (and way too accident prone) to stand on the line, but I sure am having a blast riding her - the canter is heavenly. Luckily I think I am starting to see the light at the end of the awkward tunnel. My friend's 4yo has blossomed into a really stunning creature this year as well.
So true on the movement. We have a yearling in the barn who is VERY growthy so we haven't brought him out yet, but to see him move across the paddock will take your breath away.
Ray actually had Junior jog twice, partly because the horse acted up on the first pass, but then I think to emphasize that that is what made the difference. Kenny's horse did not have his best day in the movement department.
