    Default What is your career?

Is it horse-related? Do you keep your horses at home? Do you board? How many do you have? I think it would be interesting as the majority of ppl on this forum probably have jobs outside of horses!

    I'm a Financial Analyst with a world-wide athletic retailer.

I currently board my 2 horses, but am shopping for land so I can build a house & barn and keep them at home.

Career: Retired and now just taking care of 2 horses, 1 dog and my own small farm.

I used to do Quality Assurance auditing of a Toxicology, Biochemistry, Environmental, and Analytical Laboratories. I'd audit the studies as they were being performed to make certain protocols and standard operating procedures were being followed and I'd review the reports to make certain that the data were reported correctly.

I have 2 horses at home and between mowing fields, cleaning stalls, grooming, laundry, cleaning house (UGH), and cooking, as well as gardening I manage to find a few minutes to get on COTH.

I used to do horses full time and was barn manager and then ran my own place and taught.

I have been back in school for a while with the goal of becoming a geneticist.

I have 4 (with one on the way) horses that live at home.

Career: Not horse-related....Biotech, Regional Sales Manager for a team of sales reps

Horses: 5 horses (just sold one so I'm finally down in numbers from the 6+ I've had for the last several years). I keep them all at home where I have a nice arena and everyone gets to live out 24/7.

I am a Project Manager for an Organic health food manufacturer.

I have my own 5 acre farm with 3 horses, 7 cats, 1 dog and 1 pesky racoon that thinks that it lives with us

We had an inspector come in to our plant one day and as soon as we each realized that we were both horse people we were talking non-stop. She told me that the greatest thing that her parents did for her was to insist that she get a "regular" job not related to horses. She lives around the corner from me and has a magnificant place with a huge indoor arena. She is not married and can support herself fine.

Retired from a career in computers (sysadmin and security), now in law school. Spent some time working as barn help at one point, but much prefer having horses as a hobby...

Down to one horse now, boarded.

Career: Engineer in the offshore oil/gas industry. Around here, when you hear the terms "jumpers" and "flying leads", they're not speaking horses.

I'm down to one horse for the first time in many years, and I do have her at home.

My unpaid careers are horse related - Co-President of Special Horses, Inc. and President/Program Director or Borrowed Freedom Equine Therapies, Inc.

I am self-employed as a designer and artist and private caterer/personal chef. I do design multi-media and print for the equine trade but it is not my specialty so I won't count that.

I have a quarter horse, mule, pony and a mini and a grandhorse TB and a soon to be neighbor horse to love. All live here with me and I love every minute of it.
I Loff My Quarter Horse & I love Fenway Bartholomule cliques

I'm in software sales right in the heart of Silicon Valley and I currently board my horse in a full care training facility and my mule for now gets to play in a big pasture.

I loff where I live and am not willing to give up this area just yet in order to have my horses at home. I'm very fortunate to have wonderful pasture boarding within 20 minutes of my home as well as miles and miles of trails to ride!

Never quite sure how to describe my job. Run a specific technology application for a Fortune 100 company, although am absolutely not a techy person. Work 100% from home with no travel and went to the office for the 1st time in 4 years last week! Have my own little farm with 23 acres with 2 horses + 1 neighbor horse + 1 foster. Can't imagine working in an office again. Can't imagine working full time with horses either!
