I LOVE the idea of the adjustable calves !!! (Add me to the group of ever changing calf sizes LOL ) I hope the idea catches on, then we will have other manufacturers produce less expensive versions.

I was at a show just over a month ago and saw somebody wearing them...I wondered what on earth they were, now I know! Personally I don't like the look of them, but if you find them comfortable and can afford them and like them, go for it! Who cares if people like me stare!!

Plus the inside grip is genius (but I wonder if that would be legal in the hunter ring?). I hate wearing my boots just because I feel like I can't grip. I know everyone says 'well wear them in!' blah blah, but no matter how long I "wear them in" there is still always that slip. I feel like the inside grip would add an element of safety and control to the sport. And even if its not considered traditional, its an element I think traditional boots could easily implement, too, without loosing their traditional look.

There is some stuff out there that is super high tech yet only 10 bucks...

I love the look of these boots. Too bad I just got a pair of customs recently that dont' fit anymore cause I lost 10lbs. I ride dressage now so I'd stick out more than I already do. I let my mare show of her natural spotted bling.
But maybe next year I'll get a pair.

When I'm an international show jumping sensation I'll get these. It'll go well with my Speed Air and soft shell jacket

Until I become said show jumping star, I'll save my 1200 for customs

That said, I like the idea, and they look comfy. But they're just a little too high tec looking for my taste.

Has anyone tried these yet? I've had the same field boots for 10 years, they've never really fit and I'm tired of it. I've also recently been in a really bad horse related accident (got trampled and my leg split open all the way up my shin and across the calf). Its been 4 months and its still not healed, it would be great to have something adjustable so I didn't have to show in half chaps and look ridiculous. I think even these boots would look better than half chaps! And I don't know if my leg will ever be the same size again, I'm sure it will always be changing sizes. Even with just the half chaps my leg swelled way up by the end of the riding day. So, I'd love to know if any of you guys have ordered these boots and what you think of them. Thanks!

They're not traditional but they're ridiculously comfortable. I only ride in them at home, not even at the barn, (although I do adore my Speed Air), but they're really really comfortable.

That being said, they're quite short on me (I'm 5'7 and about 115 or 120 pounds) although OK for home when only my family and horses and staff see me. They also fit my calf (with knee socks, not thin boot socks) with a little extra room.

I'm not sure that they would go big enough for an XXL calf? I have Parlanti's and Tuccis, both of which are custom because I have thin calves, which these fit.... I also have small feet (about a 6) though so I'm assuming the calves are scaled down, also.

I'd try them! I think they're great for home, although besides maybe, maybe, maybe in a lesson or, mayyybe, a wednesday open jumper.

The difference between the Standard and Tall height appears to be 8/10 of an inch in my size and they do not appear to stock women's boots taller than 18.3" nor lower than 16.3". If I were to purchase a pair of these to fit in the calf I'd need to be buying a men's size 12 tall. I wear a ladies' 9.

I don't call that an adequate provision for varying heights and the issue appears not to have been remedied in the last 2 years, so it's apparently not a concern for the manufacturer. Whether that's because there hasn't been demand for different sizes or because of other reasons I couldn't say.

Too funny that they use the BOA system, which has been very popular in snowboarding boots. It's super easy to overtighten though so be careful in that regards. Also, there have been reports of the wire breaking in snowboarding boots so I'd inspect the wire every so often for fraying.

If they weren't so expensive, I'd get them for schooling and if I was riding jumpers. I've lately been having issues with my calves swelling after workouts at the gym so it's been frustrating for my zip ups to fit great one day and be almost unzippable the next.

I believe Will Faudree (eventer) has been wearing them for quite a while. Not sure if it's one pair or if he has multiples, but I'd bet he rides a number of horses a day, plus teaches, etc, so they'd kinda have to be pretty darn comfy.

Will Faudree, Danny Warrington, Allison Springer - there are tons of pros using these.

They don't drop a ton because of the system. BTW, the Boa system is guaranteed for life, so if the wire or mechanism breaks, a replacement is free.

I really want a pair, super comfortable, but I have a tiny foot on a very long leg and they just won't work height wise!

Good news! The price on the Veredus boots has gone down significantly to $900. From 10' away you can't see the Boa system.
