    Default Tipping the Tour Guide

As I get my WEG fill-in-the-chinks plans set with assorted other horsey things, including a few of my favorite TB farms, I'm wondering if there is an industry standard or such to give the person showing you around. I have no idea what might be the norm, and I don't want to come off as an unappreciative cheapskate.

This fall is going to be FUN!!!! Must get tons of pictures.

It is customary to tip the groom who is showing you around. In my many visits to the bluegrass, I have tipped anywhere from $5-20 depending upon how much time s/he spent with me. The better ones that always answered my questions and were knowledgeable about the horses/farms they worked with I always tipped more.

What Starlit said. General rule of thumb I have used is $5 per person on the tour. If they are especially courteous and knowledgable, more.
Life would be infinitely better if pinatas suddenly appeared throughout the day.
