We planted a grass last year (I wish I could remember what kind - will find out from hubby) and it has become over come with clover grass. I wouldn't really mind but it makes it really slippery and my husband doesn't like it.
Hubby did some research and learned that you could put lime down and it would help the grass take over.

Yes talk to your extentsion agent. Soil testing the pasture will let you know what it needs as far as lime and fertilizer. There is a pasture mix seed which contains clover and alfalfa and other grasses that does well in PA.
