I'm a Dynamite fan - she has the kindest face but seems more of a handful? You go girls!
Well Dynamite is actually not so bad. She is a bit hard to handle on the ground but such a great heart and work ethic when I am longing or riding. She is my orphan filly.
I really think she'll make her ways in hunter field and even might be a good jumper prospect.
I have good days recently and a nice energy from taking proper meds.
I just got back from a clinic with Margareth Dieckermann with Shannon, the grey mare. Shannon experiment her first flying change and we did not do much since she will be a master in this.
We mostly work on straightness and self-carriage. She did great, we are on the right track and having fun together.
Sunday I will attempt a show in level 1 again and I am confident to do better than last year. The mare is stronger in a rear end, she also mature so accept more and more to report weight, also wait for me and more confident overall.
So I am not bringing any youngsters, just looking to have fun in a small show and look for good tests. If I have the same energy, that'll be great.
Loved seeing your clinic video, Leena! It is very hard work riding at a clinic. You really are amazing to do so well under that type of pressure. You know what to expect at a show, no matter what level you ride. At a clinic you don't know what's coming up next but have to be ready and do whatever the clinician asks. Of course, it helps if your horse is ready as well!
Bon chance for tomorrow's show.
So here we are after a 5 months break for Shannon and only 1 month and half back to ride and train. We had a big week, with the clinic and the show. Shannon behave so well...
Now I'll look for another saddle since I am sure now that the fact she is waving her head is connected to the saddle..Hope to find a good one by the end of june.
Still, I don't know where I get that inner strenght that push me forward, that energy. I share that joy with all of you and will do as much as possible. I shall say riding is easier than ever these days.
Elena, you are truly a wonder. I'm embarrassed to admit that I'm moaning and groaning after spending 3 days setting up the rings, changing the rings, moving furniture in the lounge and cleaning up after a weekend clinic at the farm where I board.
Keep up your spirits; if I wasn't before, you have made me a believer in the power of positive thinking! (and now I'll go have a nap...)
We don't get less brave; we get a bigger sense of self-preservation........
