    Still riding !

Temperature is improving so Thank God for my poor fingers and feet !

I'll get back soon with my work on my filly.

I have been working on my mind since a couple of months; trying to focus enough to feel my aids and make them clear.

I found how messy was my mind, acting like an idiot, thinking about everything except the ride. My mind help me now since I am slowly loosing again my strenght.
Funny ! As I am getting pretty good on focus and feel less breathless all of the sudden.

This is really interesting ! I'll try to investigate this new thing further on.

Glad to here it Elene! I think you should be teaching riding as well. Helping people to ride their horses through feeling. Yeah, I know we are supposed to do that anyway, but I hadn't thought about it as much as I should until you started explaining it in your way.

Not too long now and no more frozen feet and fingers!

    Hi Leena
Beautiful weather here, so you should have it today or tomorrow, but very cold. I hope you can warm up by the fire and relax.

My trainer keeps telling me, "Horses live in the moment, and don't abandon your horse." But it is so hard, with what I do for work I am always leaping from thought to thought. But being "in the moment" with your horse - you can so feel the connection, no? And the joy! Here's hoping you are enjoying your moments!

    Hello all !

I am having a bad cold and share this with numbers of people right now.

I am fed up with winter.. ! This year is a regular winter, with enough cold temp to freeze my fingers and feet for good. I have tried almost everything but now I know..we just need warmer time.

Here some pictures of the coming 4 filly I backed 1 month ago. It was not my best day, maybe my elbows were frozen too. Even my helmet was crooked LOL !

Tsunami share courage with me. She is the one with the very tiny wolf teeth that no one found, made her desunied at canter and finally a good dentist relieved her pain.
So, a couple of good massages to convince her finally she was pain free, some very good and long walk, exercices to build up some muscles and here we go !

She is a sweetheart to work with. She is forgiving a lot, very very brave and so quiet.
She has some good rebound, very powerfull so it is hard on me to keep the pace. I was lacking impulsion, my outside rein is a bit high, my seat was not really working..Anyway !
I feel blessed to ride her !

Shannon the grey filly is amazing too: she is actually under pro training and is solid level 1.

I am just focusing on giving the very early good basics to the coming 4 and then the coming 3 later this spring. I love my job and I think my riding technics is ok for them.

While it is quite easy to deal with them since their birth, I like the fact I really need to focus in every ride, keeping in mind the basic scale.

This very good mental exercice is in fact my best friend to deal and accept the pain.

Sooooo, let's just ride and see what this journey has still in mind for me, in terms of teaching, joy and serenity !

Just catching up with this Leena and admiring your fortitude riding in temps that I'm sure are worse than we experienced in the Boston area. I will think of you when I am about to complain of my arthritis pains!
    Ride on......

    Yup...Me too !

Here it is the Ice festival. We got some rain last week and this wipe out all the snow..I am really not in the good spot..Hope for the snow storm forecast tomorrow, so back in some snow.

My dear friend Bernie passed away; I was really sad and I'll keep riding for the cancer victims.

I got into another steps in the med adjustment and feeling much better, much controlled pain.

But most important here; I am still riding and still enjoying every day.
