Default It's been a fun four weeks! I'm Over the Moon!!

First show of the hunter breeding season and my Grande Saber daughter.. age 14... wins her class...She's pretending to be ready to foal but we have a few more months to go!
    THEN....
My Grande Saber son, Grande Sovereign out of the good mare Hulane took Reseerve Champ at his FIRST Hunter show. The girls were only a small distraction...once in the ring..he was ALL business!

That was just what I needed!!! It feels great to see my line moving on!

I LOVE LOVE LOVE that colt!!! I was watching him on Mare Stare, drooling away!

And the bummer is that Diva and my Faux Finish mare were bred on the same day with the same semen shipment and Diva foaled first and I am still waiting!

BTW ... the lady that purchased the wonderful Alacrity Trakehner mare is breeding her to Sovie and she was blown away by how fabulous he was in person. She is looking forward to her Sovie baby in 2011 SO much! It is going to be such an amazing cross and that foal will be one to look forward to as well ...

Is there ANY chance you taped that? I hear she foaled in a few minutes..

As for your pretty girl, Faux Finish..I hear your pain..Maidens may hold a bit longer but waiting for that fabulous foal this long is not fair!!! I want Jill to get some sleep!!

Sovie is a wonderful sport stallion..he loves being admired too!

The great thing about being a US Bred is that you can find his siblings and his family by Saber in every discipline. We just found his long lost sister Grande Sonata this past month...I wish we could find his sister Moonstruck a bay Dutch mare by Consul..I hear she was a great jumper.

I look forward to the special ones Sovie sires this year!

Congratulations Joan! I know you are going to love her, she is such a sweetie. Rosa is almost shed shed out, so I am going to clip her whiskers off and get some new photo's of her.

There are more photo's on facebook http://www.facebook.com/album.php?ai...s/343157426928.

You are going to have a blast with her this show season!

    UNDEFEATED!!!!
14 yr old Grande Desire by Grande Saber/Grundstein is the Queen of her hunter breeding broodmare division in PA! Too bad there is no recognition Nationally for mature bloodstock in the USEF!
Bunny joins mares Grande Impression by GS & Saber's Heisman sister as the leading ladies in PA Hunter Breeding. Note they took top rankings while either showing for the first time as broodmares AFTER age 10 ten OR due to foal AFTER the show season OR both! Kyrie d' Triompe delivery a filly in Aug last year after sharing the broodmare honors with her "niece" Grande Impression. Grande Desire is due with a Romantic Star foal in July. Her first foal will show in the yearling NTB division this spring.

I regret we have no credible permanent record keeping to chronicle breeding in this vital element of our sport.
All these mares are directly related to highly reknown Grand Affair thru her sire Grande Saber. Grande Desire is a full sister to "Diva". This is the realization of decades of breeding outstanding TB lines to warmblood foundation sires of the early 80's.
