Default Spin off - any other homemade fly repellents?

There was a Pine Sol thread. Would love to hear what else people use that has worked for them.

This is obviously nothing new to everyone here, but just for my two cents:

Skin So Soft and anything, really. I do Vinegar and/or Citronella oil.
Also feed through garlic (though beware, feed garlic and do the vinegar spray and your horse perpetually smells like the first course at Olive Garden).

And FWIW to anyone in the Southeast, Repel X is NOT working here for me anymore like it used to.

Yeah, I've been mixing RepelX concentrate with my homemade fly spray concoction and it's doing NOTHING. I went and bought an orange bottle of Absorbine that's supposed to last 14 days, and it's working ok, but still not great. The deerflies are immune to everything this year and are very aggressive.

I used to do the PineSol in my mixture and think I'm going to switch back to that along with cider vinegar, SkinSoSoft, Vicks vapo liquid, and healthy splashes of citronella, eucalyptus & lemon oil.
