Default The Riding Centre, Yellow Springs Ohio

Anyone know what sort of footing they have there?

There is a local H/J schooling show there on the 23rd. Do they run the classes on grass or in the arena?

Looking at pictures of the arena online it almost looks like pea gravel but that can't be right, can it? Anyone know for sure?

Oh man, I haven't thought about the Riding Centre in years. Back when I was a kid my sister and I used to live at my grandparents' for a week and do the week long summer camp there with Carolyn.

But yes, from what I remember, the footing in the outdoor is that pea gravel type. I know, you'd expect to be stopping and digging it out of your horse's hooves every five minutes, but there was never a problem all those years ago.

The ring used to be horrible pea type sand, but several years ago they put in rubber mixed with a better sand.
