Default Finding breeding on a horse with missing papers

A new working student has a horse that she is leasing for the summer, and I'd love to find out more about his background and breeding. Trouble is, he is owned by a college, where he was donated without papers, and so no one knows much about his background. I know his real name, his age (approximately) and he has a Hanoverian brand, three numbers on his neck, and it looks like he was kept a stallion for longer than normal. He was definitely imported from Germany at some point. Is there any website out there that I can just type in his name/age/brand numbers and find out more about him?

    Thanks so much in advance!

And a call to the Hannoverian Verband in Germany with the above information should yield results.

Thanks very much. I checked those sites, but I couldn't find any info on him from what I know. He was supposedly at Lendon Gray's barn for a while years ago, so I am trying that route to find out about him. I'll try calling the Hanoverian Verband as well.
