Default Conformation help- does this mare have a roach back?

I honestly do not know what a mild one would look like. Am I seeing things?

Yes, that's a roach if I've ever seen one. I know a few horses with roached backs that do quite well without issues, but tend to be quite "stuck" in the way they hold themselves.

She's likely just a little tucked up due to ulcers - not an uncommon thing to see just coming out of race training. It certainly wouldn't keep me from buying her, if everything else looked good.

With out a 3/4 view from over the hip from rer or an in person its not fair to make an assumption.

A big time well known by everyone in eventing vet told a client a horse she submitted photos to him had a seriously roached back.
Another even bigger more respected vet upon Pre-Purchase was aghast someone would have made that diagnosis off a photo especialyl ones like these.
Horse no sooner had a roach back than you or I.

In views 1 and 3 she looks a tad hunched up in view 2 not so much.

Maybe-- or am I looking at the way she stands camped out behind in all three photos?

I think she looks like someone pulled off her blanket and there is a cold wind blowing. I wouldn't judge by a photo and I don't say that sarcastically. I have taken flyers on a couple of OTTB's based on photos. I was delighted with both of them but they definitely had their flaws. They were also much nicer than the pictures would indicate. Something about those crappy settings that is a real turn off.
