Default Where can I shop for used trucks on a budget?

    Besides Craigslist?

I'm really searching a nice pulling vehicle. I'm on a 5k budget and have found a couple that would work but holding out for the RIGHT one.

    Any ideas for me?

I know you said besides Craigslist, but I found my perfect truck there for $3k. It took a LOT of looking and waiting and being picky, though.

Farming country. I am always amazed when I go from here in the DC metro area, a couple hours away to near Harrisburg, PA, to see how many more HD pickups are for sale up there compared to our more suburban area.

I think the paper is the Lancaster Farmer. I get a copy when I go up for the PA Farm Show.

A friend of mine kept her eyes peeled and was able to find the perfect barely used F250 4x4 extended cab pickup near Gettysburg.

I sent my highly trusted mechanic to the auto auctions for me, and he came back one day with the perfect towing truck for me. This was back in '92.

My DH bought a Jeep Wrangler off eBay, not your typical place to shop, but he got what he felt was a good deal, even if he had to drive two states away to go pick it up.
