Default Portland Meadows owner/ trainer violate Magna's No Slaughter Policy

Don't know if this has been posted, but Fugly outed an A$$hat Owner and trainer who raced a horse on Monday at Portland Meadows, and he was in the kill pen at Chucks ( of old CBER fame) on Tuesday. Fortunately he was rescued.
These jerks didn't even make ANY effort to try to find him a new home. Didn't even run him through an auction to give him even a SLIGHT chance of a home. Just sold him to Chuck to go straight to kill. Jerks!!

To clarify further, the horse ran on Monday and was listed by CBER Thursday morning. Yes, same old CBER - adopt him or he goes on the truck. I don't know who knew what, but SOMEONE knew he was going to a kill buyer.

Jetsmom, sad though it is to say it, I don't believe there IS a "policy". I wish Magna would just come out and say it, so that people would cease to have expectations of their responses to apparent violations that are unrealistic. Apparently they never did figure out what "indirectly" meant, legally or literally.
