Of course, we all remember that rope noseband, so I'll start with Idle Dice.
No more dependable horse! I sat next to Betsy and Dennis when Ike was retired!

I'll also mention Jet Run. He had the cool hole in his lip. EWWW. And Jet had more "rugs" than Persia http://chronicleforums.com/groupee_c.../icon_wink.gif

Jetrun My alltime favorite, I have a pic of me and Micheal Matz standing next to Jet..

Chase the clouds ashame he died of colic I think, what a nice horse...

Frier Tuck not much of a GP horse but I think everyone remembers him..

The Natural I think the 1st horse to sell for top dollar of that time..

Balbucca I think Rodney jenkins rode him not sure

Rocky Raccoon I think that was Debbie Stevens but I could also be wrong...

I have so many but I'll save for others...
Let the horse go, get out of its way, it knows what to do...Stop pulling and keep kicking!!!!!!

Was Springdale the grey, maybe James Hulick rode him? And Willie Wonderful was a nice jumper too.

I have a great "Eads" story.
At Cleveland he got loose and word got out it was Eadenvale. Being such a nasty (kind word) guy, everyone tied off their aisles and hid http://chronicleforums.com/groupee_c...on_biggrin.gif Nobody wanted to help catch him and risk being mauled.

Glad to hear that The Natural is alive and well!

Others I admired as a kid were:

    Touch of Class/Joe
    Abdullah/Conrad
    Noren/Katie
    Calypso/Melanie
    Ommen/Lynne Little
Chef/Michael Matz (I remember when he fell coming down the bank at Newport, jumped from a standstill, and won the Derby! MM lost his stirrup and helmet! They were an amazing pair!)
    Sedac/B. Ward

Does anyone know whatever happened to McLain's horse, Twist du Valon, from several years ago? Was he retired to the lower levels? I loved that horse!!
In loving memory of Chutney (1977 - 2008)

My newest book, "Sandsablaze," available now!
