What is the going rate in your neck of the woods? I do it myself. Just got curious this weekend after hearing that a local vet charges $100.

My vet charges $5 or $10 to clean sheaths (can't remember). I generally just clean them myself but I have one gelding that won't drop. I get his done when his teeth are done (she charges $25 for the teeth floating, $20 for the dope). I love my vet. Oh, and $50 for a farm call.

I've got 6 horses and to have all teeth floated and shots given (I buy the shots, she just gives them) I think it cost me $300 for all of them last time.

I pay $120 for the dentist once per year, but I am super picky about how his teeth are done and who does them. My girl is amazing and only does teeth, no general vet care.

At the clinic where I worked a sheath cleaning was $25 plus sedation of $38. Most folks had it done while the horse was already sedated for a dental or some other reason.
