Are you and your pony pimped with the latest technology? Wired magazine reports!
As gas hovers around $4 a gallon, your Prius-driving neighbors are cruising smugly all the way to Whole Foods. Sure, you could join their self-satisfied ranks. Or you could commute in style — on a horse (if your city's ordinances allow it). The timing is good: Equestrian gear recently got some serious and long-needed upgrades. High tech, Silver, away!
but...what I was thinking:
The horse shoes! I remember a few years back they had a piece on TV about a guy who invented polyurethane tires. Can come in all colors, and are solid, lat for a long long time.
Pair that with what I thought was common for NYC police horses: rubber horse shoes...I wonder if those shoes would last as long as steel, with the give of rubber...
If that guy would have hd a horse or a dog, I would remember his name no doubt, but he had tires...pft...
