I was watching a video of my lesson from the weekend, and I noticed that, when I am asking my horse to halt at the end of a course, I really lean back and use my upper body.
As a result, my body goes way back, my legs shoot forward, and my elbows remain straight.
Now, I know it's good to use your weight/upper body as an aid, but I have to say that this is not an attractive way to halt!
Is the solution to keep my body more still and bend my elbow "hinge"? This is my self-diagnosis to the problem.
I am going to watch my videos every night until I can next ride (31 days ) and come up with an observation of something to fix. The "water-ski" is today's observation. Do I sound like I'm on the road to the correct fix?
