I had something similar once before, looked more like the Japanese Beetle trp though.

It worked wonderfully! The only thing bad about it, it stinks like rotting flesh, do not place near patios or where you want to enjoy a relaxing moment.

It does look better than the plastic baggy style you have for the evil devil beetles!

We buy several bag type fly traps at Lowe's every year and hang them around the perimeter of our property (they attract flies, then kill them, you don't want to attract them to the barn!).

They do stink to high heaven but they work fabulously, at least for house flies.

They're called "Rescue Disposable Fly Traps" and cost $4.97/each - well worth the money!

We haven't been able to get them at Home Depot, only Lowes around here.

    Default I use them

Or a variant. They work great...stink alot so pick the right spots for them. I have them at least 25 feet from places I go and places horses snooze. I am sure they offend the horses too. I can tell you do not buy the ones you have to empty or ones that are too big. Nothing bigger than a gallon size...buy more of them not bigger of them. The bigger they are the more attractant they have the more they smell. The bigger they are the more they have to collect flies before you can replace them. I use 3, 1 on each of 3 sides of the shed, hung on the fence with twine. They will fill up in about 3 weeks depending on your situation. You want to be able to toss them and buy more, not empty them and refill them with attractant. THAT is one foul job but there are fly traps sold that way and it is cheaper. PatO
