Default Anyone feed the Nutrena 13% Fat Performance Pellet?

If so, what have your results been? Appears to have a decent nutrional profile & price... Also, what are the pellets like - dry or oily like Ultium? My picky eater does not like the oily pellets. Thank!

    *bump*

I bought a bag to check it out...I couldn't resistthe numbers. 1584 kcal/# with an NSC of 14.1 %....beet pulp based (flax, rice bran as well). It is a little oily, but I mixed it in with my finicky one's TC Senior and he did not do they typical 'sorting' that he does when he doesn't like the grain product. It comes is a black bag...so does anyone feed this? I can't even find it on their website yet, is it that new??

Yes it's that new and it's only available in New England. They created it in response to customer demand. Basically it's a blend of two of their current feeds, but I can't remember which two! (Safe choice and Empower?) It sounds like a nice feed, but I'm pretty happy with Blue Seal's Sentinel LS, so I won't be trying it out.

I decided against the switch - I love, love TC Senior. Why change what isn't broken.

I am an equine specialist for a feed dealer and we do sell a decent amount of the Nutrena Hi Fat Pellet. I have actually had a lot of success with selling it to Amish customers recently. They like the fact that it is filling out their horses and they seem to have a bit more "pep" on this feed, yet they are not hot.

I do believe it is still only available in the Northeast unless that has recently changed.

If you'd like, I can scan the literature on it and e-mail it to you.
