Default What Warmblood Hunter Stallions cross best with Tb Mares?

I'm looking to breed my Rockpoint Tb mare and wanted some suggestions on really nice, fancy/quality hunter wb stallions w/ exceptional movement/jump/and temperament/disposition for an amateur

I've been considering using the dutch wb stallion Haarlem-i had the most wonderful horse by him,and recently tragically lost him,and thought it might be nice to breed my mare to him...however i don't know if he crosses well w/ Tb's ...i haven't been able to find any info on that....but i'm open to suggestions on any horses that are proven and known to cross well w/ a Tb.

Any suggestions or info would be greatly appreciated...thanks in advance
R.I.P. "Henry" 4/22/05 - 3/26/2010 We loved you so much....gone but NEVER FORGOTTEN...i hope we meet again

I think if you search for "Hunter" in the subject of threads on this forum, you'll find several threads which will answer your question There are LOTS of really, really nice Hunter stallions out there, from TBs to WBs

I love Apiro with some TB blood, and his babies are gorgeous. Escapade as well-his babies are born broke it seems.

If you would consider a younger stallion, Amazing has all the qualities you mentioned...his temperament is the best you can find, and he moves and jumps extremely well-a hard combination to find.

I repeat bred my TB mare (with conformation/substance very similar to Rockpoint's) to Cunningham (Cassini I x Iorella [Contender], National Grand Champion Conformation Hunter 2007, etc.) and am delighted with the results.

    Check out Figaro B.

Super amateur temperament, champion (or reserve) at every show this year (High Pre Greens - he's only coming 5 - circuit champion at Gulfport) - and a great cross on TB mares.

Lovely pedigree: Pavarotti vd Helle (Pilot) out of a Wellington mare.

Take a look at Ironman, he crosses exceptionally well with TB mares. He is very well known for his wonderful disposition and how he passes it on. His offspring are so easy to work with , train, and break. He was the #1 HB sire in 07.

Roc USA. He has produced first year green champion at WEF and 3yr old national hunter breeding champion and 6yr old young jumper finals champion and #1 ISR/old performance mare and the list goes on and on...

I second Escapade. I loved my filly by him last year out of my TB mare and have another due in a month and a half. i also have 2 maybe three that will be bred to him in the next month. I know there were several of his foal out there showing and all to my knowledge were started and showing with their Ammy owners. Ever his pony foal showed and did awesome with a young rider!! Good Luck!!

Argosy. He crosses really well with TB mares. I just bought a mare by him and she is wonderful. I also used to school another gelding by him and he was great as well. Both are extremely comfortable to ride, and SUPER athletic. Both are the result of him being crossed with TB mares. I know a few of his other babies (not so baby anymore!) were also ammy friendly and super easy to ride--also TB crosses as well. Gook luck in your search!!

In addition to the stallions already mentioned... You could research Westporte, Just The Best, More Than Luck, Edison, Willemoes, Chaleon, Good As Gold, Pablo, Beste Gold, Sir Caletto, Claim To Fame to name a few

The 2 newborn Redwine's out of TB mares I saw today are absolutely to die for & he'd probably be my first choice. I also love Don Alfredo, Pablo, Popeye K, Cunningham, Romantic Star, Federalist, Jones Hall and Banderas.

I adore my Pablo two year old out of a Diamont but half TB mare. Redwine has made some lovely foals o/o TB dams, but the list could go on forever. There are so many super stallions to shop.

Richard is crossing nicely with TB mares. He is adding nice bone and size on those foals. I have some nice TB mares already booked to him for 2011 foals so we should see some more nice ones next year as well.

I bred one of our TB mares to Just The Best and love, love, love the cross!! My colt isn't a year yet and is the nicest, most level headed boy I could ask for.

He's gorgeous also and in a major growing spurt right now or I'd post a picture! I'd highly recommend one of Tish's stallions: www.tishquirk.com

Not yet but I met her & she is FABULOUS! I wanted to take her home with me. You are going to be thrilled with your foal. Both fillies were out of TB mares & both were knockouts. Wrigtwoodfarms on this BB owns one & posted in the 2010 foals thread. Another was a filly born about 3 weeks ago who was equally as lovely. I also saw the Romantic Star/Rubinstein/Raphael/Furioso II colt. Wow, wow, wow! Is he ever something!

    Default Redwine /TB Filly

Just got home from seeing my Redwine filly, Red High Heels (barn name Prada) out of a TB mare and she is beyond my wildest dreams. Let me try posting a few photobucket links to some pictures taken at two days old.
