I actually spent this morning plotting out an "org chart" as I actually have to travel for business next Weds-Thurs. As Rhodey is only going for lessons, etc., I've gotten lucky and am taking a real minimalist approach.
See everyone there!

We are pretty much loaded and ready to go. We will be packing along a cat with a broken leg. She had to have surgery yesterday and needs to be confined for at least 6 weeks. What could be more confining that three people and a barn cat in a horse trailer for 6 weeks. Oh well !!
Anyway, I'm so looking forward to seeing everyone and actually getting to the AEC. It's been a long and winding road since they were first announced, and it is going to be wonderful to finally get to experience the fruits of so many peoples labor. We will be staying on grounds in a RV, so swing on by and have a glass of wine with us. http://chronicleforums.com/images/cu...milies/yes.gif
If the Number 2 pencil is so popular, why is it still number 2?
Ozzy and I are going! We're leaving on Wednesday morning... that is if what ever made my truck blow up yesterday is fixed http://chronicleforums.com/groupee_c...icon_frown.gif I just put a new transmission in the damn thing and it chooses NOW to get all smokey-stinky on me.
Canterlope my princess, Will you e-mail me? I have no idea what's the best way to get down there and would love the advice of you and the fabulous Mr. Lope. You can reach me at lgdehart (at) radford (dot) edu. Thanks Huge!
I'm so excited, next Tuesday will be the slowed school day in the history of all time. We're either leaving after school on Tuesday or Wed. morning. I get to miss three days of school for horses, and parties, oh yeah! (don't say anything about the load of make-up work I will have.)

ok, to be on topic, I am not going this year. My dad and I might drive down there just to check it out. That is if we can fins somewhere cheap to stay. ANyoen know of a ritz nearby (we have a timeshare with them, so we get hotel rooms at a ritz for next to nothing)
OK, now I'm nervous, I just got back from my baby greenie's first ever HT and am in NO way close to being packed! The truck gets a new clutch this Tuesday and the trailer is getting a once over tomorrow, then I'm packing Thursday, picking up a horse Friday and we are on our way East Saturday morning baby!!!
I'll add a COTH sign to my door too! You won't be able to miss my pony, big, white, and obnixious LOL.
Boy, is it sad I'm looking forward to a 32+ hour drive cross country with my dog? I can't wait!

Is there some place I can go and school some XC jumps on Wed next week near CHP? If I come down on Tuesday, I'll do a light hack that evening and then on Wed I'd like to pop around some terrain down there with fences since its so hard around here to school, and then compete on Thursday in dressage, etc.

quote:
had my first "stress dream" about it last night (you know, the one where you are fifteen minutes away from your dressage ride and you can't find your clothes, tack, horse, etc.)

Mine are worse..I'm actually riding without my clothes in my "stress dreams".
Boss Hoss - Cross Winds Horse Center is just 5 miles from the Horse Park and we have many cross country jumps, here. Mostly BN and Novice, but very good galloping courses. We also have plenty of stalls and turn-out if anyone needs "real stalls"!! You can reach me by phone - 910-281-5220 or firstname.lastname@example.org to set up schooling.
