Default Blinders on a blind horse to limit random objects coming into vision field?

Have a mare who is 80% blind in one eye and 20% in the other- well trained- and minus the spooking is a well trained riding horse. The light and random objects appearing into her limited field of vision scare her, as they seem to pop out of nowhere... would it be safe or beneficial to use blinders on her? Any ideas?

Hey, try it. Might help. Cannot hurt.
When opportunity knocks it's wearing overalls and looks like work.

Does anyone know the difference between the types of cups on the racehorse hoods?
