Hey guys...I have decided to use Chron as a networking tool!
Does anyone know of any barns between Bloomington, IN and Indianapolis? I am probably attending IU next fall and I am desperately searching for a place to keep my mare. Anything in the opposite direction of Bloomington would be totally fine too!
I went and looked at Nadeem Noon's place recently and while it is an awesome place and they really know what they're doing, I just don't see my mare working in their program.
I would love to find a place where I can continue teaching some lessons and maybe riding a few extra horses a couple days a week.
A couple things that I would like to see but I am COMPLETELY FLEXIBLE on are:
-supply my own grain
-shavings in the stall, not sawdust
-feed at least 15 lbs of hay a day
-have an indoor
-pay someone to hack my girl a couple times a week (whether this is done by a student of pro doesn't matter to me)
-semi-private turnout (my mare wont do private and wont do large herds) on grass(<- flexible on the grass option)
-regular dragging/watering of the arena
-place for trailer parking
I am definitely willing to travel to the right place. And again, I would love to continue teaching beginner to intermediate lessons.
Right now me and a friend are just renting stalls and doing all the work ourselves...so I may be a little crazy the first two weeks...I haven't had the best luck with boarding barns!
Also, please recommend your farrier and vet here too! My girl has pretty easy feet but I do keep snow pads with fill, and some medium sized studs on her in the winter and I am definitely willing to pay for the best of the best!

This farm is owned by a NH style western trainer who also runs a cattle farm, it's a little odd but the horses get all day group turnout and there is a USDF certified instructor. Huge indoor arena, trails.
