Default Free Semi Retired TB Mare

I had my TB mare in a semi retirement situtation for over 4 years and now the mother of the loving family that took her in is dying of cancer and they are giving up the farm.

The mare is 20 y, 16.3, did 2nd to 3rd lvl dressage and trail rides. She is quiet and I am not sure how much riding they did with her overall but she gets along well with other horses.

Do you know of a place she can go to? She is located in Northern MD just below York PA.

If you gave more details it might help find her a home -- why was she semi-retired? (did she have any medical issues?). You can also edit your title to include your location.

Since there are very few homes for retired horses, you could also find a retirement farm and board her there. A few people on this board run them; there is a big price range. If she doesn't need much care (that is, can be in a field w/o blankets etc) you would be able to board her at a place that charges at the low end.

Best of luck to you and to her.
