That's a strong possibility... I'm hoping that then Christopher Bartle will give up on the Germans because they might drug test positive for something at the WEG and come to Canada

    Default The Captain!

Shrunk- I have put the bug in Christophers' ear about this and we as Americans could only hope and pray it would be him!! How lucky would this country be to have that happen!!! This would be a major step in getting eventing on the right track in this country....

I think the UK owes to us to give us a real coach like Bartle after leaving us with Foggy for years.

Umm everyone is not getting my post!!!

I'm saying that the US can have DOC and Canada will then get CB

I think Canada deserves CB because we are far superior hockey players... It must count for something in the riding world.

My money is on Captain Planet. He's been waiting years to make a comeback and this whole "Going Green" movement is the perfect catalyst for his return to the world stage.

Christopher Bartle would be the best choice for the USA right now. Look what he did with the Germans. They were a mess after the 2002 WEG (didn't even complete the team competition in Jerez!).Now look at them, reigning World and Olympic Champions. If not him, then someone similar. DOC would be an option ONLY if Karen has quit by then.

Here's hoping DOC would be able to stay with the program he's worked hard to build in Canada

No unfortunatly some americans would not be able to cope with our taxes... A man just told me he was gonna move to Canada because Obama is stealing his money. Canada cheaper? He's delusional

Actually Canada should be concerned if DOC leaves we may be downgrading in coaching standards. Somehow I'm thinking CB won't leave Europe.

Perhaps Leslie Law would be interested in coaching the US...?

Slightly superior, and lead is shrinking day by day .

I'd vote for Denny, or Wofford. Maybe Bruce Sr?

I second this. But I have a feeling those three would say no, unfortunately.

Why does it have to be someone from overseas, and what exactly is so good about CB?

My vote would be for Denny Emerson or Jimmy Wofford.

Not that I really have a bone in this fight, because I wont be eventing in the US at rec level anytime soon, however interesting discussion.
